Need urged for Bench-Bar unity

QUETTA, Dec 18: A judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Iftekhar Mohammad Chaudhary, has underline the need for joint efforts of the Bench and Bar for the supremacy of law and Constitution in the country.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Balochistan High Court (BHC) Bar Association in the honour of judges of the Supreme Court and the BHC here on Tuesday, he lauded the cooperation between the Bench and Bar in the province.

He expressed the hope that this cooperation would help in straightening various institutions in the province.

High Court Chief Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed speaking on the occasion said that it was the cooperation which resulted in the early recovery of a judicial magistrate, Jafarabad, Mohammad Ali Kakar.

He thanked Jamhoori Watan Party Chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti for taking personal interest in the recovery of Kakar.

Bar association President Amanullah Kanrani said the Supreme Court and Shariat Court benches, established in Quetta, were helping people in providing justice at their doorsteps.—Staff Correspondent
