CHITRAL, July 21: Speakers at a seminar have demanded installation of incinerators in district headquarters hospital, Chitral, to ensure safe disposal of solid medical waste.

The seminar was arranged by the Patients Welfare Association and social welfare department of the hospital. Medical superintendent of the hospital Dr Noorul Islam said that on average about 800 patients and their attendants visited the hospital daily, while 250 kg of solid waste was deposited.—Correspondent
