The accused, Malik Asad, resident of Lahore was spotted with weapons by the security guards of Belgium embassy, located in Sector F-6/3 when he tried to enter its premises.

On suspicion, the security guards captured him and during his search recovered the weapons. The issue was also brought into the notice of the security incharge of the embassy and senior diplomats who called Kohsar police.

The police reached the spot and took the accused in their custody. During preliminary investigation, he disclosed having dual nationality and claimed that he came over to the embassy to seek financial assistance.
