KARACHI: Showing his concerns on law and order situation in Lyari, President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday directed the pertinent authorities to continue the dialogue process in the area, DawnNews reported.

President Zardari said that “the doors for dialogue with Lyari people should not be closed.”

The president was chairing a core committee meeting of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh in Karachi.

Speaking to media representatives, PPP leader Rafiq Engineer said that “President Zardari has emphasised that the Lyari problem should be solved through negotiations.”

The meeting also discussed the party’s relations with the coalition partners in Sindh and progress of different development projects in the province.

Preseident Zardari showed his displeasure with the Sindh government over non-completion of renovation project of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander’s shrine after four years.

He directed the provincial government officials to ensure all facilities for the pilgrims
