MULTAN: The by-poll for the National Assmebly's seat NA 151 (Multan-IV), vacated by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is being held today, DawnNews reported.

The main candidates are the former prime minister’s son Abdul Qadir Gilani who is contesting on Pakistan People's Party (PPP) ticket and  Shaukat Hayat Khan Bosan, who enjoys the informal support of both Pakistan Muslim League-N(PML-N)  and Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf(PTI).

Other candidates contesting the by-election are Abdul Mateen Qureshi, Dr Aleem Chaudhry, Mehr Ghulam Shabbir Sial, Shehla Shaheen Advocate, Muhammad Husnain Khan Bosan, Muhammad Amil Yousuf Jutt, Muhammad Abbas and Nawaz Muhammad Iqbal Khan.
