Dolphins claim trophy

KARACHI, Dec 17: Baqai Dolphin won the Beautiful Karachi Festival Cricket tournament defeating KESC by eight wickets at UBL Sports Complex here on Tuesday.

Batting first the KESC were all out for 123 runs. Arif Maqbool (3-21) and Yousuf Ahmed (2-20) took the bowling honours for Dolphins.

Baqai Dolphin easily reached the target in 21 overs for the loss of two wickets with Javed (38), M. Imran (40) and Man-of-the-Final Hasan Raza (40 n.o.) batted well.

The tournament was organised by Karachi Building Control Authority.

The winning team received Rs 20,000 while the runners-up pocketed Rs 10,000.

Aminur Rehman of KESC was declared Man-of-the-Tournament and was richer by Rs 5000.—APP
