MINGORA: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that they will not accept an imported caretaker set up.

Speaking to the media he said the newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Fakharuddin G. Ibrahim is an honest person, but in his old age will not be able to carry out the responsibility given to him.

He urged the government and opposition to take JUI-F into confidence on all matters including the interim setup.

He said that the appointment of Justice (r) Fakharuddin G. Ibrahim as Chief Election Commissioner is a good decision. He called for appointing Justice Shakirullah Jan as Federal Ombudsman.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that according to the constitution the setting up of an impartial caretaker government is necessary.
