KARACHI: Pakistan’s Mohammad Majid Ali suffered his first defeat in three games while his compatriot Hunain Aamir continued his winning run in the IBSF World Under-21 Snooker Championship in Wuxi, China, on Sunday.

Majid suffered his first defeat when he went down straight to China’s Zhu Yinghuiv 33-59, 60-62, 5-89, 8-60.

Earlier, Majid and Hunain won their second-round matches. The former registered a 4-3 victory over England’s Mitchell Mann the scores being 59-52, 29-87, 65-48, 73-64, 42-58, 51-62, 82-51 while the latter whipped Belan Sharif of Sweden 4-0 (68-25, 76-15, 71-1, 55-46).
