RAWALPINDI, Dec 16: A former judge of the anti-terrorism court (ATC) who was abducted by some unidentified persons from Lahore on Tuesday last, was found unconscious near Dina on Monday.

He was critically injured and was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Rawalpindi, police and hospital authorities said.

M.S. Sharif Shad, who has sustained multiple fractures, was spotted by the police near Jhelum on Tuesday afternoon. He was initially was shifted to a local hospital in Jhelum but after his condition deteriorated, he was removed to the DHQ hospital where he has not yet regained his conscious.

Mr Shad was the ATC judge during Nawaz Sharif regime in 1992.
