QUETTA, July 10: A schoolteacher and two other men were killed in Quetta and Mastung and three bodies were found in Quetta, Gwadar and Mand areas as law and order situation in Balochistan continued to deteriorate.

The schoolteacher, Abdul Rashid, was shot dead by gunmen on a motorcycle at the gate of his school, police said.

The assailants escaped after the attack.

In another incident, two men, Khaliqdad Marri and Jan Muhammad Marri, were killed during a clash in the eastern bypass area.

Police claimed the clash was caused by a family dispute.

Meanwhile, three bodies were found in Quetta and Mand and Gwadar areas.

Police recovered the body of a man from karez (an underground water channel) who was later identified as Gohar Khan. The body was brought to civil hospital and was handed over to his family. No other details of the incident could be known.

Another body was found in Mand, a town near the Pak-Iran border in Kech district. The man was identified as Gul Muhammad who was said to be a heroin addict.

In Gwardar, police found a body near the Customs House area. The body of the unidentified man was taken to district hospital.

SUICIDE: Two men reportedly committed suicide in Quetta and Mand town. In Quetta, Asadullah, a young man said to be `mentally disturbed’ shot himself with a pistol.

In another incident, Barkat Ali killed himself in the same manner in Mand town.
