TOKYO, July 8: India on Sunday claimed to have provided more evidence to Pakistan about terrorist activities allegedly taking place on Pakistani soil against India.

Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna gave the evidence, based mostly on disclosures made by Mumbai attacks accused Abu Jundal, to his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar during a bilateral meeting held here on the sidelines of the Tokyo Conference on Afghanistan.

Mr Krishna conveyed to Ms Khar that India had now even more reasons to believe that forces inimical to India’s interests were being allegedly encouraged by certain Pakistan state agencies.

Ms Khar said Pakistan did not believe that its agencies were involved in perpetrating terror strikes against India.

“India has provided additional concrete evidence about anti-India activities being carried out on Pakistani soil and about (Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group leader) Hafiz Saeed. Krishna told Khar that Pakistan must cooperate with India on such criminal matters,” said a source.
