CHESTER-LE-STREET, July 7: Former England fast bowler Stephen Harmison has joined Yorkshire on a month-long loan, his parent county announced on Saturday.

The 33-year-old has spent much of this season in Durham’s 2nd XI while Yorkshire are short of seamers with former England left-armer Ryan Sidebottom injured and Mitchell Starc due to join Australia ‘A’ for their tour of England later this month.

Yorkshire have also lost Ajmal Shahzad, on loan to arch-rivals Lancashire after falling out with his native county.—AFP
