BADIN, Dec 15: The people of Matli town held a demonstration and observed token hunger strike on Sunday in protest against the killing of a man, Habib Kashmiri, and the rise in crime in Matli sub-division.

Habib had been killed by three armed robbers who had broken into his rice mill in Fazal Ahmed Colony in the wee hours of Saturday.

The people of the town carried his body and observed a sit-in for an hour on the Badin-Hyderabad and Digri-Tando Ghulam Ali roads as a result of which traffic remained blocked.
