Six cops suspended

SIALKOT, Dec 15: The Sialkot district police officer on Sunday suspended from service six Elite Force constables on the charge of misbehaving with an army officer.

Those suspended are: Nisar Ahmad, Ghulam Sarwar, Muhammad Naeem, Khadim Husain, Ghulam Nabi and Shabbir Husain.

The DPO also ordered a departmental inquiry against the suspended constables.

Uggoki police have also registered a case against constable Nisar Ahmad.

SHOT DEAD: A trader was shot dead on Sunday by four unidentified car riders at Bhallowali Chowk in Daska tehsil.

Armed car riders reached the spot, opened fire on Muhammad Arshad (35) and sped away. Arshad died instantly.

Motra police are investigating the matter.

Meanwhile, in Ranjhai village on the main Daska-Gujranwala Road, two bandits shot at and injured seriously wagon driver Ejaz and passenger Navid Aslam on resistance during a robbery bid.

Daska police are looking into the matter.
