PESHAWAR, Dec 15: The provincial government has appointed Tanveer Hussain Sipra chief of the Capital City Police in place of Khurshid Alam Khan, who has been made DIG Headquarters.

The provincial government through a notification here on Sunday, shuffled 16 senior police officials in the Frontier province.

Through another notification, Chief Minister Akram Durrani has moved the offices of DIG Kohat Range to Bannu — the native city of the chief minister. Using his discretionary powers, the chief minister ordered shifting of the offices of DIG Kohat Range to Bannu.

According to the notifications, Tanveer Hussain Sipra has been transferred from Malakand where he had been working as the DIG, and has been appointed chief of the Capital City Police, Peshawar, in place of Khurshid Alam Khan, who has been transferred and posted as DIG Police Headquarters, Peshawar.

DIG traffic Sajid Owais Agha has been made officer on special duty (OSD) and his services have been handed over the Establishment Division at the Centre.

DIG Police Headquarters, Peshawar, Faqir Hussain has been transferred and posted as DIG Malakand. Arifullah has been posted as AIG traffic, Peshawar.

Anwar Ali, SP Tank, has been transferred and posted as SP Frontier Reserve Police, Kohat. Usman Zakaria, SP Bannu, has been transferred and posted as SP Dera Ismail Khan.

Zulifqar has been made SP Lakki in place of Abdullah, who has been transferred and posted as SP Security in place of Zubair Shah, who has been posted as SP Traffic, Peshawar.

Feroz Shah, SP Nowshera, has been transferred and posted as SP Joint Interrogation Team of Special Branch, Peshawar.

Mohammad Saeed and Danishwar have been posted as SP Headquarters, Peshawar and DPO Buner, respectively.

Mohammad Ayub, DSP Tank, has been transferred and posted as DPO Dera Ismail Khan. Arif Nawaz, DSP Dera Ismail Khan, has been transferred and posted as DPO Nowshera.

Rajab Ali Shah, DSP Bannu, has been transferred and posted as DPO Bannu.

According to the notification, all the DPOs would work on the senior post of BPS 18 till further orders.
