KARACHI, Dec 15: Officer on special duty, Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), Rauf Akhtar Farooqi, in a meeting with KBCA officers conveyed a note of warning and told them that Chief Controller Brig A.S. Nasir had described their performance as unsatisfactory as they had failed to check illegal constructions and dispose of regularization cases.

He said that if they did not bring improvement in their performance within three days, they would be removed from their posts. He particularly warned the officers posted to North Nazimabad, Liaquatabad and Jamshed towns, saying their performance had been zero.

All the town building controllers were told keep a strict vigil on illegal construction activities.

Rauf Akhtar Farooqi directed that at least two cases of regularization be disposed of daily in each town.—APP
