PESHAWAR, July 3: Unidentified people gunned down a man in his 30s before throwing the body in the fields of Khazana area here on Tuesday.

Local police said the body, especially head and chest, was riddled with bullet holes.

They said the man wasn’t killed in Khazana area as locals didn’t recognise him.

Police said the body had been shifted to the local mortuary.

Also in the day, unidentified people hurled hand grenade on a Muslimabad house on the Charsadda Road.

However, no damage to public life or property was reported.

In a complaint lodged with Khanzana police station, the owner of the house, Anwar Khan, named his rivals, including Habib Gul, Azizullah and Mohammad Ali, for the attack.

Police raided different places but failed to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Force on Tuesday arrested a drug pusher after seizing heroin powder.

Waleedur Rehman of Hangu district was taken into custody during examination of his luggage in a van bound for Behrain from Peshawar.
