ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued the code of conduct for the next general elections, DawnNews reported.

According to the new regulations, the expense limit on each candidate’s election campaign has been set at 1.5 million rupees.

Restrictions have been imposed on the candidates for setting up of polling camps.

The code of conduct prohibits the candidates for wall-chalking and the use of loud speakers during the campaign.

The ECP made it mandatory for the candidates to inform the commission a week earlier if it wanted to hold a rally.

The commission has also prohibited the candidates to provide transport facility to the voters on the  polling day.

The ECP will also provide the standard dimensions of the campaigning posters and the billboards.
