KARACHI, June 26: The Sindh government has set up a commission to assess the losses caused to the public during law and order situations or by political violence, says a handout issued here on Tuesday.

Besides taking up the cases of the citizens killed or injured in such situations during the year 2012, the commission would also assess the loss of property caused to individuals and recommend compensation thereof, it said.

The handout said that the commission set up for the year 2011 had submitted its report within the stipulated time and on its recommendations compensation was paid to the claimants.—PPI
