MURREE, June 24: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif said the rulers avoided writing the letter to Swiss courts ordered by Supreme Court just to keep billions of rupees of nation into the pocket of one man.

He alluded to the president during a ceremony to distribute cheques among the affected shopkeepers of the defunct parking plaza at Jheeka Gali here on Sunday.

Nawaz Sharif said some black sheep tried to defame the independent judiciary on the behest of their masters but Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary failed their nefarious designs by bringing his own son to the court of justice.

He alleged that after Abbottabad operation congratulatory messages were sent to the foreigners. Nawaz Sharif came up with an interesting comparison between the current and the previous regime saying, “Musharraf was indeed a curse for the nation, but the present rulers are a greater curse.”

Nawaz Sharif also recalled his interest in the development of Murree and criticised severely the present rulers. He distributed cheques worth Rs120 millions among the shopkeepers.

It is to mention here that the parking plaza was constructed with an amount of Rs1 billion but had badly failed due to poor planning and mismanagement that wasted millions of rupees from the public exchequers.
