ISLAMABAD, Dec 14: Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its support to Pakistan on the core issue of Kashmir and stressed that it should be resolved through peaceful negotiations.

The ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Brig (retd) Ali Saeed Muhammad Al-Awad Aessry, who met the speaker of National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, at the NA secretariat on Saturday, said both the brotherly countries shared views on many international issues, including Kashmir.

The Saudi envoy conveyed heart-felt congratulations and regards on behalf of the Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, the government and people of Saudi Arabia to the speaker on his elevation and best wishes for the solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan.

Chaudhry Amir Hussain, while reciprocating similar sentiments for the King Fahd, the Crown Prince, Raees-i-Majlis-i-Shoora and the people of Saudi Arabia, said that the relationship between the two brotherly Muslim countries were deep-rooted and time-tested.

He said the people of Pakistan treat the Kingdom as their second home and the presence of the large Pakistani community in the kingdom demonstrated the cordial relations and closeness felt by the two nations for each other. He extended invitation to the Saudi Majlis-i-Shoora delegation to visit Pakistan.
