KARACHI, June 17: Karachi United FC thrashed Marta Women FC 4-0 in the second Sir Ali Asghar Women Football Tournament 2012 at the KMC Football ground here on Sunday.

Marta Women were missing four of their key players, namely, Mahnaz, Haseena, Shabnam and Zarina, who couldn’t join their team due to disturbance in their area of residence, which was how Karachi United won so easily.

All the four goals for the winners were scored in the first half by Mina Zaheer (second min), Khadija Kazmi (fourth and ninth mins) and Anusha Hasan (13th min).

The match concludes the league phase of the tournament with Karachi United FC and A.J. WFC reaching the top of their pool tables. Both will clash in the final next week on Sunday, June 24, at the same venue.—Sports Reporter
