KARACHI: Wicketkeeper Bismillah Khan will not be receiving a central contract from the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) after an appeal against his one-year disciplinary ban was turned down, ESPNCricinfo reported.

Bismilah, who hails from Quetta, had been named in the stipend category when the PCB announced its contracts of 2012. He was banned for a year following a scuffle in a grade-two match on April 21. His appeal against the ban was rejected by a PCB commissioner.

In the stipend category, 21 players receive a monthly retainer of Rs.62,500 and include some of the top performers of the domestic circuit.
