I hope Aunil is aware that for more than a decade Irans nuclear programme is under intrusive verification, under camera and has more frequent visits than most nuclear power generating countries. Besides the IAEA has maintained that it has not come across any case of diversion of objectives. Moreover, many intelligence agencies evenof the US have verified that no substantive proof exist that Iran is engaged in objectives contrary to IAEA charter. Inspite thereof it is facing massive sanctions, propoganda and schemes aimed at strangulating it economically. India and Israel and Pakistan included have done all their nuclear work towards nuclear weapons clandestinely. This by itself negates any long winded debate on the subject by these countries.. and one fails to understand despite Israel deliberate goading towards war why the UN never debates its nuclear arsenal developed under the aegis of the West. The writer of the letter should wake up from his deep slumber and assess the facts and developments in the region before championing the media onslaught against Iran which is continuing for several years now.
