Four file papers for NA-56 by-polls

RAWALPINDI, Dec 13: Four candidates on Friday submitted their nomination papers with the district and sessions judge and returning officer (RO) for NA-56 Shehzad Pervez Abbasi for contesting bi-elections scheduled for January 15.

Those who submitted their papers included Sardar Shaukat Hayat from People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPP), Mohammad Hanif Abbasi from Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), Sheikh Rashid Shafique of Pakistan Muslim League-Q and independent candidate Yousaf Mirza.

The NA-56 seat was surrendered by federal information minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.
