LAHORE, June 12: The three-day coaching camp organised by the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) at the Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club and attended by 25 professional golfers ended on Tuesday.
The camp was conducted by Indian coach Romit Bose, a top class A certified golf professional and a member of the National Golf Academy, India.
Topics covered in practical exercises were basics of the golf swing, golf rules, and golf fitness besides psychological aspects of the game.
The three-day coaching session was followed by an exam containing questions about the game.
Grades will be given to the candidates in line with their marks they obtain in the examination. Stating that he has no problem to visit Pakistan, the Indian coach said that he was pleased with the response of his students.
Top professional golfers who attended the coaching session were Aadil Jehangir, Shafiq Masih, Abbas Ali, Latif Masih, Asghar Ali Hafeez Masih,Jafal, Arif and Mobin.
Others who attended the session were coaches with C or D grades and look forward to improving their ratings. Romit will now visit Karachi to conduct another three-day coaching exercise in the city.—Sports Reporter
