HYDERABAD, Dec 13: A group of power consumers of Phulelli staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Friday against what they called anti-consumers policies of Hesco and excesses of the local executive engineer.

Speaking at the rally, Insaan Dost Tehrik chairman Naeem Noorani, vice chairman Dr Younus Danish and others accused the Hesco staff of corruption.

They said the power supply to many consumers had been disconnected as they could not pay detection bills issued to them.

They demanded immediate transfer of the executive engineer.

DEMONSTRATION: A large number of activists of the Islami Tehrik Pakistan staged protest a demonstration after Juma prayers at the Kadamgah Maula Ali to condemn the US bombardment on Najaf Ashraf, Iraq, and other religious places.

They demanded that the UN should take notice of the US aggression against Iraq.
