KARACHI, Dec 13: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Friday said his government would make every effort to bring the prices of daily-use items such as flour, sugar and Ghee further down to mitigate the economic miseries of the common man.

He was talking to people after offering Juma prayer at Masjid Khulafa-i-Rashideen, Gulshan-i-Iqbal. The people gathered around the Prime Minister and felicitated him on his election to the top political post in the country.

They also expressed their gratitude over the reduction in the electricity tariff, which they hoped would bring their domestic expenditures down.

JATOI MEETS PM: Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, chief of the National People’s Party and a central leader of the National Alliance, met Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali at his residence here on Friday.

According to the Jatoi House sources, the NPP chief extended felicitations to Mr Jamali on his election as prime minister.

He remained with the PM for some time and exchanged views on various issues.

SHUJJAT: The PML-Q parliamentary party leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain, here on Friday called on Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali at his residence and discussed the party affairs of Sindh and matters pertaining to the speaker’s election.

On the occasion the Prime Minister said that whichever party showed majority would form government in Sindh. He reiterated that the federal government would not interfere in that matter. Federal minister Liaquat Jatoi was also present on the occasion.—APP
