ISLAMABAD: Former Minister for Defence, who recently took charge of the Ministry for Power and Water, Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar said that the militaries of both India and Pakistan are an obstacle to the resolution of the Siachen dispute, DawnNews reported on Sunday.

While giving an interview to BBC the Mukhtar said that Pakistan and India wanted to settle the dispute and its resolution would benefit both the countries.

India, being the bigger country, should be largehearted in initiating  a settlement, according to Pakistan's minister for water and power.

While replying to a question he said that both countries gain nothing out of Siachen and the matter is only about satisfaction of egos and according to him the cost of ego satisfaction would be noteworthy.
