KARACHI, Dec 12: Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, federal minister for water and power, has expressed confidence that progressive plans and devoted team of KESC engineers and workers under the guidance of the present management will turn the KESC into a profitable organization.

He was addressing senior officers and engineers of the KESC at its headquarters in Karachi on Thursday .

“We will turn around the financial status of the KESC and take it out of the red. I understand the reasons and difficulties that the organization was facing, but the guidance and captainship of the present managing director, Brig Tariq Saddozai, to a devoted team of engineers and workers has saved the ship from sinking,” the federal minister said.

He said whatever might be the odds, a direction would be evolved by identifying the issues and finding solutions to make the power utility a profitable and a reliable supplier of electricity.—PPI
