LAHORE, May 27: PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain says that the ruling given by National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza in the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s case has ended the confrontation between judiciary and the government.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that not going into appeal against the Supreme Court verdict was a correct decision taken by the government.

Meanwhile, National Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi called PML-Q leader and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

He enquired after his health of Mr Elahi who is under treatment in a London hospital.

PML-Q leaders and office-bearers of its youth wing and a large number of Pakistanis visited the hospital and prayed for an early recovery.
