PESHAWAR, May 23: Five militants were killed in a pre-dawn US drone attack on a house near Miramshah in North Waziristan on Wednesday.

The attack came two days after the Pakistani delegation at the Nato summit in Chicago demanded an end to drone strikes and urged the United States to apologise for the death of Pakistani soldiers in an attack on Salala checkpost.

The drone fired two missiles, destroying the house and killing five militants who were there. On May 5, 10 people were killed in a similar attack in Nashtar Darra area of Shawal tehsil.—Bureau
