KARACHI, May 23: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Managing Director Misbahuddin Farid has demanded the water utility’s share in the commercialisation and betterment charges collected by the cantonment boards so that the revenues could be spent on the board’s installations.

He made this demand in a letter issued to the Military Land & State director on Wednesday. Mr Farid said that the allocation of the share would help KWSB improve the civic infrastructure and this would also be beneficial to the people of the areas falling in the jurisdictions of cantonment boards.—PPI
