Wanted man dies in crossfire

SIALKOT, Dec 11: An alleged proclaimed offender was shot dead in an exchange of fire with the residents of Jhaaranwala village, Satrah, late on Tuesday night.

It is reported that a gang of 16 criminals stormed into the village and started firing in the air to harass the villagers. They continued firing for about half an hour.

In the meanwhile, villagers gathered and returned the fire. During the cross firing an alleged proclaimed offender, Saleh Muhammad, died on the spot. The other POs fled from the scene leaving their accomplice’s body behind.

TRANSFER: Daska DSP Javaid Masood has been transferred to Shorkot while Shorkot DSP Navid Anwar Baloch replaced him.

Daska city SHO Sub-Inspector Munir Cheema has been transferred to Sialkot CIA.
