KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, and Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, co-chaired a high level meeting at the Governor House here on Friday which considered the provincial budget for the next fiscal year.

A statement said that the budget would be for the welfare of the people and that the focus would on provision of drinking water and mega projects of road networks.

It said that provincial ministers Syed Murad Ali Shah, Raza Haroon, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Provincial Finance Secretary, Naveed Kamran, Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr. Noshad Shaikh and others attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that in the budget the province's share of money would be allocated for the K-IV project for provision of water and the S-III sewerage project would be allocated.

Work on education, health, and infrastructure development would be taken up on priority. Special attention would also be paid towards the ongoing projects in these areas, it was further stated.

The budget will benefit the common man and help improve their standard of living, the statement added.
