KARACHI, Dec 10: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, during a visit to Gulshan Town Union Council No 2, on Tuesday ordered officials to remove immediately old and abandoned vehicles lying in residential areas as they are creating problems for the people.

He was invited by the notables of the area to take stock of the problems of the locality. Naib Town Nazim Saleem Azhar, Nazim Union Council Mohammed Nasir Daud Verani, officials of the Town administration and officials of the Water Board were present on the occasion.

The City Nazim also ordered shifting of the garbage bin placed in front of Gulshan Public School. He also ordered that construction work of a women’s park be started immediately, besides repair of manholes.

Earlier, the City Nazim was informed that the construction of the main road in the union council and the replacement of a sewerage line had been included in the Khushhal Pakistan Programme after proper approval.

Mr Khan suggested the setting up of a committee comprising residents of the area to ensure cleanliness in the area and to tackle other problems of the area with the consultation of the Nazim of the union council.—PPI
