Man electrocuted

ISLAMABAD, April 25: A man fell prey to his own trick of catching fish by electrocuting them on Wednesday. Fawadullah slipped into a nullah soon after he and his friends immersed the electrodes into water.

Police said the young party had arrived at the nullah located at Phulgran along with a generator for fishing. The group used to fish by immersing electrodes, attached to a powerful generator, into water which killed all the fish around them and made it quite easy for them to catch hundreds.

However, nature seemed to have had enough of the cruel practice and Fawadullah accidentally fell into the nullah as soon as the group threw live wires in it. His friends rushed to switch off the generator, fished him out and shifted him to the hospital but to no avail as doctors pronounced him dead.—Staff Reporter
