Three killed in separate incidents

SARGODHA, Dec 9: Three people were killed and 14 others were injured in separate incidents here on Monday.

A man was murdered by four people over a family dispute in Chak Ramdas.

Ghulam Husain contracted second marriage with the sister of Gulzar. Four children were born to them. Later, Ghulam Husain divorced his wife due to a family pressure. Gulzar refused to hand over the children to Ghulam Husain and a litigation started between them.

On Monday, Gulzar was going on a motorcycle when Ghulam Husain and his son from the first wife, Khizar Hayat, along with two accomplices killed him and escaped.

Imran strangled his sister, Khalida, in the jurisdiction of the Kot Raja police in Kot Momin.

In another incident which took place near Mateela village, some 40km from here, an unidentified man was killed and 14 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a car.

ATTACK: A Bhagtanwala police party was attacked when it raided the outhouse of a landlord to recover a labourer in fetters.

The police raided the outhouse of Aslam of Bhera following an information that he had set up a torture cell and has kept many people as bonded labour.

However, relatives and servants of Aslam attacked the police party and in the meantime, Mansha was removed from the cell by the landlord.
