QUETTA: Unidentified assailants blew up two 16-inch gas pipelines on Tuesday in Balochistan province’s Dera Bugti region, DawnNews reported.

After the incident that took place in Dera Bugti’s Pir Koh area, gas supply was disrupted to a purification plant.

Moreover, rescue teams reached the site of the incident and fire fighting efforts were underway.

Officials told DawnNews that repair work would take three to four hours.

Sabotage of gas pipelines are a trademark of tribal militants. However, the province also suffers from attacks blamed on Taliban militants.
