THATTA, April 23: Seven people, including an alleged accomplice of Lyari’s Amn Committee leader, were picked up during raids by police in Bukhari Mohalla on Monday. A heavy contingent of police, led by CIA SSP Chaudhry Aslam, raided some houses of Bikak tribe in the colony.

The police picked up Sher Ali Bikak, who was said to be an accomplice of Uzair Baloch, and six others during the raids.

Two armoured personnel carriers and 12 police vans took part in the operation.

Zafar Ali Bikak, a brother of Sher Ali Bikak, told the media that the police ransacked their house and harassed the residents. He said they picked up people, including his brother and a guest, from the house.
