51 BSSA members arrested

QUETTA, Nov 19: Police have arrested 51 members of the Balochistan Secretariat Staff Association who were on a strike to press for the acceptance of their demands, said Civil Line Police Station officials here on Monday.

BSSA members were holding a protest against the government for non-payment of 40 per cent agency allowance. They were also demanding increase in their salaries.

Those arrested were President and General Secretary of the association.—APP
