Strike challenged

Published April 14, 2012

LAHORE, April 13: Fresh strike by the Young Doctors Association (YDA) has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.

A lawyer on Friday filed a civil miscellaneous application into an already pending petition against doctors’ strike.

In the fresh application, the petitioner said the Supreme Court had asked doctors not to observe strikes, but they again observed a strike. He said patients were suffering because of doctors’ strike and dozens of people died during previous strikes.

He prayed to the court to take action against young doctors and cancel their practice licences.—Staff Reporter
