Rivals kill two brothers on Eid day

SIALKOT, Dec 8: Two brothers were shot dead allegedly by their rivals in Qazi Chowk village (Uggoki) on Friday.

Police said that Zubair Dildar, Shafqat Dildar and Nadeem Dildar were going to their home after offering Eid prayers when Atif, Rahmat, Asmat, Muhammad Ali and their 10 accomplices intercepted them and opened fire. As a result, Zubair and Shafqat died on the spot. The condition of their third brother, Nadeem, was stated to be serious at a local hospital.

Uggoki police registered a case against the 14 accused who were at large till late on Sunday night.

A clerk of the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan was killed while an area manager was injured by a man in Sohawa (Daska) on Thursday night.

Area Manager Mushtaqur Rahman and clerk Muhammad Iqbal were working in the Sohawa office of the corporation when an unidentified man came there and opened fire. As a result, Iqbal died on the spot while the condition of Mushtaq was stated to be critical at a Daska hospital.

ROAD ACCIDENT: A resident of Daska Kalan was killed when a speeding and over loaded passenger bus ran him over on Daska-Pasrur Road on Sunday.

Riaz Butt was travelling on the roof of the bus when he fell down and was run over.
