LANDI KOTAL: Militants publicly put to death in Bara on Wednesday four of their former colleagues who had defected to the government side. They killed another three persons in other areas.

According to sources, former Lashkar-i-Islam ‘commander’ Hazrat Khan and his six colleagues had been kidnapped from Alamgudar area on Tuesday.

Masked men brought Hazrat Khan and his colleague Rehman to Speen Qabar Chowk on Wednesday morning and beheaded them in front of a crowd.

Two other kidnapped men, Najib and Khan Wazir, were shot dead.

Bullet-riddled bodies of Khalid and Sher Rehman, who were among the kidnapped men, were found in Yousuf Talab area. They belonged to Zakhakhel tribe.

Another former militant, Arabi Khan, was killed in Akkakhel.

The sources said Hazrat Khan of Sipah tribe had surrendered to security forces two months ago and was actively supporting a military operation against Lashkar-i-Islam.

Before surrendering, he was allegedly involved in a number of attacks on security personnel and kidnapping for ransom.
