LARKANA: Four die in accident

LARKANA, Dec 8: Four persons, including two minor boys, were killed and 17 injured when a wagon went out of the control of its driver and dashed into a tree after hitting two bicyclists near Dhamraho on Sunday night.

The wagon driver lost control over steering while trying to save the cyclists near Jarwar some 10km off here.

The wagon (R0071) after hitting the bicycle, dashed against a tree resulting into the on-the-spot death of four persons and injuries to 17.

The deceased were identified as the cyclists, Mohammed Sharif Gopang, 40, and Ramzan Ali Gopang, 30, residents of Sahibdino Gopang village, Mujahid Ali, 6, son of Irshad Surhiyo, and Saleem, 7, son of Aijaz Ali Surhiyo.

Those injured included Noshad Ali Surhiyo, Tanzeel, Azhar, Tauseef, Akhlaq, Faiza Surhiyo, Urooj, Irshad Surhiyo, Abdul Rahim Brohi, Abdul Rashid, Zubair Siddiqi, Munawwar Khatoon, Najia, Asif Ali, Safia and Mohsin Ali.

The deceased and the injured were shifted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital, where the injured were admitted.

According to the CMCH doctors, the condition of Irshad Ali was serious.

The wagon was damaged in the accident.

The Dhamraho police arrived at the scene and helped clear the road for traffic.
