ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting of the federal cabinet to analyse and discuss a 12-point agenda will be held here on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will preside over the meeting.

The meeting will decide the key points of the federal budget.

The Federal Ministry of Finance says it will present a report during the meeting in which it would be proved that by adopting efficient economic strategies, the inflation rate has been brought down from 25 per cent to 11 or 12 per cent. The ministry regards it as a big success.

The report also claims that the country's finance managers have achieved a decrease in the budget deficit.

A proposal on the reduction of duty of cement will also be considered during the meeting.
