RAWALPINDI, April 7: Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA) on Saturday imposed fine of Rs22,000 on 22 shopkeepers for encroachment and seized 12 pushcarts.

The anti-encroachment staff visited Liaquat Road, Bara Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Road, Iqbal Road, Benazir Bhutto Road, Commercial Market, Muslim Town and Sadiqabad and removed encroachments from roadsides.

Display of tyres on roads and open places was banned in the district in view of dengue virus. — A Reporter
