ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that a section of the media has been projecting baseless and incorrect corruption cases against him and the present government with the intention of trying to defame him.

“All these stories are cooked only to defame me,” the prime minister said in a television interview.

“I make a number of decisions daily but only three or four decisions are being projected in the media just to defame me,” said the prime minister in the interview.

He said, “Out of these decisions some are good, some are bad, as we are part of the society.”

Gilani said, “It is against journalistic ethics that old news is being publicised” adding that news means recent or fresh news.
