Aaron Sorkin took audiences behind the scenes of the inner workings of the White House in "The West Wing". He's told us the story of the beginnings of Facebook in "The Social Network". Now with "The Newsroom" the Oscar-winning writer is looking to take us into another world — journalism.

"The Newsroom," which will premier on June 24 on HBO, is a look into the world of 24 hour news.

Played by Jeff Daniels, the show revolves around a veteran news anchor and his new executive producer played by Emily Mortimer as well as newsroom staff that will include actors such as Dev Patel, Alison Pill, John Gallagher Jr, Olivia Munn, and Thomas Sadoski

The series will tackle the trials an tribulations of adhering to the ideals of journalism in a time of increasing corporate obstacles, while the characters also juggle their personal lives.
