SWABI, April 1: An aged man committed suicide while an old enmity claimed life of a man on Sunday, said the police.

Aziz Gul, father of five children and resident of Ghareeb Abad, committed suicide by eating poisonous tablets. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital where he died. It was learnt that he took the extreme step after quarrelling with his sons over some domestic issue.

In another incident, Saleh Mohammad of Gulo Dheri was shot dead in the Swabi adda. The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity.

Officials said the deceased had killed a person of the rival family belonging to the Swabi city 25 years ago. After that Mr Saleh went into hiding and was declared proclaimed offender by the police. However, later he surrendered to the police.

His brother registered an FIR in the city police station against their rivals.
